En tant qu¹artiste invité(e) d¹Upgrade Montréal dans le passé, nous aimerions présenter une sélection de votre travail audio à la prochaine Rencontre Upgrade Internationale à Oklahoma City (UIOC), du 30 novembre au 3 décembre 2006.
La Rencontre UIOC présentera des expositions aux contenus en provenance de deux douzaines de noeuds¹ Upgrade à travers le monde. Pour sa part, Upgrade Montréal présentera un “audio.listening.lab” (laboratoire d¹écoute audio) allant de la musique électronique (expérimentale), à l¹électroacoustique, à l¹acousmatique, à l¹avant-garde et/ou l¹art-audio / art sonore / radio-art et tous autres sons bizarroïdes de toutes formes. Les oeuvres seront diffusées via un lecteur CD avec des écouteurs à l¹intérieur d¹un espace propice L¹auditeur(rice) aura en mains un programme et aura la liberté de choisir des oeuvres parmi un ensemble d¹artistes à différents lieux. Les postes d¹écoute seront disposés de manière à former un espace de détente de type “lounge” comprenant des coussins, des écouteurs et des lecteurs dispersés dans l¹espace…
L¹événement UIOC aura lieu au [Untitled] ArtSpace, au Oklahoma Visual Artists Coalition, au University of Oklahoma School of Art, à la Galerie IAO, et au OKCMOA Noble Theatre. [ http://www.theupgrade.net ]

As a past presenting artist at the Upgrade Montreal, we’d like to showcase a
selection of your audio work at the upcoming Upgrade International Gathering
in Oklahoma City (UIOC), November 30th - December 3rd, 2006.
The UIOC Gathering will feature exhibitions from two dozen Upgrade nodes from around the world. Upgrade Montreal is curating an “audio.listening.lab” for (experimental) electronic music, electroacoustic, acousmatic, avant-garde and/or audio-art / sound-art / radio-art and generally weird and strange sounds of all shapes and sizes. Works will be played back on a CD player with headphones in a dedicated listening environment. The listener will have an information booklet and be free to select from a number of works from a number of artists at various listening stations. The stations will be in the manner of a lounge with cushions and comfortable spaces with the headphones and players and information strewn around the space …
The UIOC will take place at Untitled [ArtSpace], the Oklahoma Visual Artists Coalition, The University of Oklahoma School of Art, the IAO Gallery, and the OKCMOA Noble Theatre. [ http://www.theupgrade.net ]
